Capital One Illinois Center for Generative AI Safety, Knowledge Systems, and Cybersecurity (ASKS) 

The Capital One Center for Generative AI Safety, Knowledge Systems and Cyber Security (ASKS) is a pioneering collaboration between Capital One and the Grainger College of Engineering Siebel School of Computing and Data Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Our mission is to address these challenges by advancing the safety, securityand trustworthiness of Generative Artificial Intelligence Models (GAIMs) across multiple domains.

Through research, education, and the responsible advancement of these models across domains, our aim is to enhance the ability of GAIMs to to manage up-to-date knowledge while operating safely, responsibly, and effectively, particularly as it relates to security and and situation understanding.

Generative Artificial Intelligence Models (GAIMs) are driving significant advancements across sectors ranging from finance to healthcare, entertainment, education, and beyond. While their potential is significant, the widespread adoption of GAIMs also introduces crucial challenges in areas such as trust, safety, cybersecurity, responsibility, robustness, and privacy.

At ASKS, we are dedicated to advancing state-of-the-art research on responsible and secure integration of GAIMs into critical applications, better enabling these models to be trusted to make accurate, safe, and responsible decisions.
